We have an exciting opportunity for an Project Support Analyst to join our Business Excellence team. In this role, you will provide support across the business change portfolio to assist with the effective delivery of projects.

Main job responsibilities:

  • You will support the Business Change Manager to mature and continuously improve project portfolio reporting, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and proportionate to the organisation. 
  • A main responsibility would be to compile accurate and robust board reports from a variety of project stakeholders and sources. You would need to undertake analysis of programme board level information to drive effective decision making, such as updating portfolio dashboards.
  • A requirement of the role would be to maintain the portfolio management logs to a high quality (i.e., RAID and dependency logs). As well as, ensuring project benefits are captured, tracked and monitored  through to realisation, reporting progress to Programme Boards
  • You will work with Business Change colleagues to support project delivery by advocating the consistent application of whg’s change management framework. This would include the monitoring and tracking of change control to ensure project metrics  are within agreed tolerances.
  • Furthermore, you will raise and track central project orders via the finance system, performing financial reconciliation on a monthly basis to identify variances.

 

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working within a programme management office or have experience working with  programme/project reporting.
  • APMP/Prince 2 Foundation (desirable)
  • Experience of Project Portfolio Management tools (desirable)
  • You will have a positive can-do approach and be self motivated and accountable with the ability to use your own initiative, manage own time and priorities whilst demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach.
  • You’ll have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to challenge at all levels, and engage colleagues in project governance.
