The vacancy
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our Communications team. In this role, you will be a key member of our fast-paced Strategy and Communications Team, delivering day-to-day marketing communications support across interesting and varied campaigns and activity.
We’re seeking someone passionate about delivering consistent, high-quality communications both online and off, with a qualification or relevant experience in this area.
Main job responsibilities:
Work closely with the Marketing and Brand Specialist in the inception and execution of campaigns
Work closely with the Marketing and Brand Specialist to be a brand guardian who ensures that all work is produced in line with whg’s brand guidelines, with consistency and quality key to this
Create visual and written content for internal and external channels, both online and offline
Work collaboratively with our external agencies to support the production of content including marketing materials and literature, photography and video
Assist with daily marketing activities to support the delivery of excellent communications across all channels
Assist with the routine content management of the external website and creation of engaging copy and pages
We're looking for someone who has:
A professional qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject matter such as marketing, communications or journalism
Strong writing skills with experience of crafting copy for different audiences
Experience of using a website CMS platform like Wordpress to manage online content
Experience using design tools like Canva and mobile filming/editing apps like InShot or similar
Experience of working within brand guidelines, including visual identity for design work and organisational tone of voice for written content

Our Strategy and Communications Team spend a minimum two days per week together in the office, with flexibility for more where needed.
