Contract:  Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Services Manager to join our Stronger Communities team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing whg’s wellbeing service for customers who live within our wellbeing schemes and customers  who require support from our aids and adaptations service. You will also  be the operational lead for safeguarding You will ensure our wellbeing schemes are welcoming, safe and inclusive places that are strongly connected to the communities in which they are located.

You will work strategically and operationally with a range of external and internal services, proactively highlighting the needs of whg customers in order to secure increased access to services that promote independence, reduce health inequalities and sustain tenancies.

 

Main job responsibilities:

  • You will ensure resources and services are joined-up, resulting in a seamless service for our customers, delivered in line with standard operating procedures
  • You will manage the Wellbeing Services budget in line with financial standing orders and whg financial procedures, ensuring services contribute to the delivery of our corporate aims and objectives.
  • you will effectively line manage and coach a team of Wellbeing Officers and an Aids and Adaptations Coordinator
  • Working with the Director of Stronger Communities , you will coordinate the operational response to safeguarding
  • You will co-design and manage the delivery of a creative annual timetable of positive health & wellbeing activities

 

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant qualification or significant experience of working within Health and Wellbeing, Health and Social Care, Housing Management, Older Persons Services and Safeguarding.
  • Experience of or a willingness to work proactively  within the Integrated Care Partnership and/or the Integrated Care System
  • Knowledge and understanding of the wider determinants of health and associated health inequalities
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team to achieve individual targets and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of Housing / Older Persons scheme regulations.
  • Experience of working with social housing customers and other vulnerable groups and the proven ability to intervene to improve their wellbeing outcomes.
  • The ability to be flexible and successfully manage competing priorities
