Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts & Compliance Surveyor to join our projects team. In this role, you will work as part of a professional team to deliver Surveying services and carry out property inspections whilst delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll also be expected to prepare schedules of work, adhere to control of contractor’s procedure and produce relevant reports.
Main job responsibilities:
Carrying out inspections, defect diagnosis and taking appropriate action including the identification and remediation of damp, mould and condensation.
Undertaking assessments to produce Energy Performance Certificates as required for lettings.
Responsibility for undertaking, producing and subsequent action plans in relation to Fire Risk Assessments under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Act 2005.
Requirements:
A HNC in Construction Management, or experience of leading a project or team in asset inspection procedures, evidence recording and presentation.
An awareness of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005 and carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.
Knowledge of Asbestos in buildings, including an understanding and awareness of the implications and risks associated with Asbestos.
Experience in the identification of different types of dampness and the ability to recommend and schedule the correct remedial work in accordance with the requirements of the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018
Knowledge of current housing disrepair and environmental health legislation and case law.
